Sautéed Green Beans with Almonds Piquant

Green Beans Almondine

Ingredients
  • 2 cups green beans, rinsed and trimmed
  • ½ cup sliced almonds toasted
  • salted water as needed
  • kosher salt and fresh ground pepper
  • 2 tbsp of extra virgin olive oil or clarified butter
Instructions
  1. Blanch green beans for 3 mins in boiling salted water.
  2. Pre-heat a non-stick pan in medium high heat; add olive oil as needed.
  3. Add green beans and sautéed until coated in oil/butter.
  4. Serve immediately and top with toasted almonds.
Note: To toast almonds, place a single layer of sliced almonds in a sheet pan. Toast in oven at 350 degrees for 5-7 mins until light golden in color.
